Std.Channel.Channel

type

This declaration introduces a public type.

What it does

A queue with a bound, carrying values of one type between threads.

The type parameter is carried by the channel rather than by what it holds,

so a channel of numbers and a channel of text are different types and

sending the wrong thing is a compile error. The token underneath is

untyped, which is why the type is kept here: it is the only place that can

hold it.
