Std.Iter.Range

type

This declaration introduces a public type.

What it does

A half-open range of whole numbers, from first up to but not including

last.

The language writes a range first..last, and that is the spelling to reach

for: it needs no import, it is understood by slicing and by for, and it

answers its own questions. This type is what remains for the case that one

cannot serve — it is generic over the integer family, so a caller counting

in UInt8 indices does not have to leave that width to count, where the

written range counts in Int.
