This is a callable function.

What it does

A value written the way it appears to the right of a key.

Tables written here are the inline form, because that is the only form a

value in that position may take. encode writes a document's own tables as

sections instead, which is what a person reading a configuration expects.

• Read arrows from left to right: inputs come first, and the final type is returned.
• & borrows a value for this call instead of moving or copying it.
